Jimmie G. Reavis, 86, formerly of Princeton, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, February 4, 2022, at his home in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born April 9, 1935, in Princeton, Indiana, to Steven and Madeline (Richardson) Reavis. He resided in Princeton until moving to Texas with his wife, Priscilla (Sturgeon) Reavis, in 1997. In his early years, Jim started working in the grocery business at A & P, eventually being promoted to manager at Key Market. He retired from Prudential Insurance Company where he was an insurance agent for many years. While living in Princeton he was a longtime member and janitor of the First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed woodworking, building tables, chairs and other items. He was also known to spend time at the skating rink and donut shop. Once retired and living in Texas, he enjoyed building model airplanes, cars and trains to give to his grandchildren. Jim loved reconnecting with friends and family on Facebook and sharing his poetry. He was always quick with a joke or riddle and had a light-hearted sense of humor.
Jimmie is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Garner (Dean) of Fort Worth, Texas; son Jeff Reavis (Denise) of Evansville; grandchildren, Brandy Jones, Tiffani Bowman, Nathan Reavis and Brooke Reavis; 10 great grandchildren, Micah, Jake, Bella, Maddy, Shelby, Johnny, Natalie, Michayla, Jeffrey and Atty; sister, Stephanie Stunkel (Gene) of Haubstadt, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Priscilla in 2017; twin brother, Jerry; and brother, Mike.
