Obituary

John E. Colbert, 85, of Kokomo and formerly of Princeton, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at his home in Kokomo. He was born July 20, 1936 in Princeton to the late Edward and Opha (Hubbard) Colbert. He served his country in the National Guard and was a retired skilled tradesman with Delco Electronics and Chrysler. He loved his beagles, was a family man, member of Shriners, IBN Saud Grotto, Pleasant Masonic Lodge #134, enjoyed motorcycles and NASCAR-was a Dale Sr. fan.

John is survived by his wife, Carol Colbert; children, Janis Luke, John Colbert Jr, Diana Meador and Lori Mason; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Garrett; and beloved dog, Remmington.

Preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Colbert; brother, Jim Colbert and beloved dogs, Tasha, Miracle, Sugar Bear and Baxter.

Graveside service will be held at 1 pm CDT Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Maple Hill Cemetery, outer east Ohio Street in Princeton. Interment will follow there. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is handling the arrangements.
