John E. Hedges, 90, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City. He was born September 8, 1929 in Gibson County to Chester A. and Mae (Mottley) Hedges. He was a farmer, living in Princeton since 1960, moving from Lyles Station. John was a motorcycle rider who enjoyed taking trips on his Harley Davidson and going to Florida during the winter. He attended Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton.
John is survived by his children, Terry Hedges (Sandy) of Princeton, Judith Perkins (Marty) of Princeton and Lisa Vinnedge (Patrick) of Oakland City; grandchildren, Kara Sparks (Randy), Kelli Mayer (Billy), Heather Perkins, Cory Vinnedge (Cecilia) and Christopher Perkins; and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma “Jean” Hedges in 2013; grandson, Brian Hedges; brother, Gene Hedges; sisters, Joy Unde and June Alysworth; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Hedges.
There will be a private funeral held at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Kevin Wilson. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.
