John Wayne Johnson

John Wayne Johnson, 72, of Petersburg, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025 at his home. He was born April 28, 1952 to the late Orbie Sr. and Flossie (Clarkston) Johnson. John worked at Scott Timber and then as a farmhand until retirement. He liked watching westerns and Turner Classic Movies, NASCAR, and anything to do with old cars and trucks. John loved classic country music and he will be missed by those who loved him. 

John is survived by his siblings, Charlene, Gene, Carl (Teresa), Orbie Jr., Billy (Sherrie), and Sondra (Tracy), and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dale Johnson; and an infant sister. 

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka with Pastor Gene Burkhart officiating. Interment will follow. Visiting hour will be held from 9 until 10 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton Thursday.
