Joseph Henry Gardner, 89, of Princeton was called home December 30, 2024. He was born November 19, 1935 in Princeton to the late Joseph Franklin Gardner and Lillie (Wolfe) Gardner. Joe was in the 1953 graduating class of Princeton High School. He married the love of his life, Judith Lee Gardner, June 24, 1956 and was blessed with 68 years together. Joe proudly joined the US Army and served until 1965. He was passionate about learning and knowledge which drove his achieving multiple engineering degrees from the University of Evansville. Joe retired as a design engineering manager from Hansen Corporation after 43 years. He was a member of the New Life Church of the Nazarene.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Lou Gardner.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Gardner; sons, Brett Gardner and Gary (Stephanie) Gardner; grandchildren, Madeline, Claire, Chloe, and Evan Gardner.
Funeral Services will be held 12 P.M. Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, IN with Donnie Truelock officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery with military honors by the Retired Military Veterans. Visitation will be held Thursday at the funeral home from 10 A.M. until service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Church of the Nazarene. Envelopes will be available at the church.
