Judith B. Pea, 85, of Princeton, IN was called to her heavenly home Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was born July 16, 1940 in Hazleton, IN to the late Hubert N. Ellis and Helen F. (Stevens) Wilhite. Judy graduated from Hazleton High School in 1959. She was a proud homemaker to her children. Judy loved to bake pies and cobblers, and later in life enjoyed teaching how to bake to her granddaughters. She liked to spend time sewing and later in life crocheting. Judy was a faithful member of the Princeton Library and an avid reader. She proudly attended and was a member of the First Christian Church in Owensville, IN. Judy loved serving her community by volunteering as a Pink Lady at Gibson General Hospital for 11 years. She especially enjoyed spending time on the 5th floor and helping when she could. Judy will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lynn Ellis; daughter, Jana Kaye Green; grandchildren, Todd Rembe and Raysha Kizer; and son-in-law, Frank Genco.
Judy is survived by her children, Jerretta Genco, Julianne Dearing, Jimi Sue (Bob) Young, Dennis Pea, and Jill (Joe) Fougnies; grandchildren, Chad McConnell, Troy Gabbard, Kristen Smith, Trey Kizer, MacKenzie Smith, Sydney Hull, Danica Pea, and Charlie Pea; 12 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Robert Wilhite and Richard Ellis.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Colvin Funeral Home with Pastor Bart Newton officiating and burial to follow at Hazleton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
