Katherine Mary Hedge
July 29, 1945 – November 6, 2022
Kathy Hedge was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and her family was the most important part of her life. She grew up and spent her life living and working in Gibson County. Kathy was a member of the Rainbow Girls. She went to school in Patoka where she graduated from high school as a Patoka Wren. Kathy was a cheerleader in school and would often participate in the alumni games where she would cheer for the Wrens. She and Ron married in Patoka on December 2, 1962. Kathy worked for 31 years at Hansen Manufacturing before she retired. She and Ron enjoyed camping, Princeton Tiger basketball, and enjoyed being a part of the community they grew up in. Kathy attended Bethel Memorial Church with her family the last few years and loved her Lord and Savior.
Kathy is survived by her daughter April (Greg) Wick, her son Timothy (Keri Jean) Hedge, and daughter Shelly (Mark) Cummins; her grandchildren: Misty (Wes) Johnston, Brian (Andrea) Hedge, Kyle (Kelsey) Cummins, Emily (Phil) Rexing, Sara (Adam) Pfeil, Jessica Hedge, Hannah (Dylan) Jones, Jacob (Sommer Wilder) Cummins, Maddie (Jared Dunn) Cummins, Aaron (Abby Wesner) LaMar, and Alexis LaMar; her great grandchildren: Cora Rose, Virginia Magdalen, Loretta Katherine, Elouise Frances, and Margaret Olivia Rexing; Tyler, Jordan, and Claire Hedge; Halle and Lawson Pfeil; and Karsyn Cummins; three sisters: Sharon Lynch, Teresa Market, and Deedra Mounts, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald William Hedge; parents Jesse Walter Mounts and Eleanor Faye Peach Mounts; and grandson Johnathan Daniel Cummins.
The family would like to thank Intrepid Hospice, especially Kathy’s nurse Sandy Dyer and her aide Chelsi Klueger for being so helpful and supportive throughout this difficult time.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 4:00 – 9:00 pm at Bethel Memorial Church, 1520 S. Main St., Princeton, IN 47670. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Bethel Memorial Church followed by a graveside service at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in Kathy’s memory.
