Kevin Dean Meier

Kevin Dean Meier, age 60, of Patoka, went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2019. He was born June 4, 1959 in Princeton, Indiana to Richard E. and M. Janice (Hunt) Meier.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Meier; grandparents, Arthur and Pauline (Hoover) Hunt and Floyd and Eva (Alsmon) Meier; aunts, Jane (Hunt) McDowell, Milly (Meier) Braun, Frances (Meier) Landrus; uncles, Jack Schlottman, Landon Warren, Richard Braun, Jerry Dyson and Jerry Armstrong; cousins, Brenda Harmon and Dennis Braun; and also step-grandmother, Cleo Meier.

He is survived by his mother, Janice (Hunt) Meier; brothers, Jeff (Carol), Brett (Sharon) and Clint Meier; his son, Matthew Meier; nieces and nephews, Max, Natalie, Josh and Jacob Meier and Emily (Matt) Nation; three great nieces and one great nephew; aunts, Barbara Schlottman, Jeanette Warren, Wanda Armstrong, Julia (Jay) Davidson and Marjorie Dyson; uncles, Robert (Virginia) Meier, Tom (Beverly) Meier and Bob McDonald; many cousins also, closest were Jack D. Schlottman, Jay Warren, Randy Davis, Greg Braun, Mike McDonald and Debbie (McDonald) Hamilton.

Kevin was a good carpenter who was taught by his grandpa Hunt. He was very particular about his work and did beautiful finish work.

Kevin requested that he was to be cremated, with no showing or service. Private burial will be with close family present.

Kevin said, “Remember me as I was alive, not as I am now.” He will be remembered always and forever with love.
