Larry Osborn, 87, of Princeton, former long-time resident of Hazleton, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Evansville. Larry was born in Evansville on January 15, 1937 to the late Lemul T. Osborn and Kathryn (Stevens) Osborn. He proudly served in the United States Navy and Marine Reserves and worked 32 years as an accounting manager at Siemens. He was a member of Hillside United Methodist Church and past president of the Rotary Club. When he was able, Larry enjoyed being part of Habitat for Humanity, serving on the Board of Directors for Pike Gibson Water, and as Conservatory District Superintendent for the Lower Patoka River. He loved the outdoors, especially gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was a wonderful husband and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be missed.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Ethel Osborn and they celebrated 58 blessed years of marriage together. He is also survived by his son, Rod Osborn; daughter, Neisha Knew; grandchildren, Roderick (Riley), Zackary (Keri), and McKenna; great-grandchildren, Alastor, Declan, and Della Dean; brother, William Osborn; and sister-in-law, Sue Darr (Orville).
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Estelle Osborn; brother, Steven Osborn; sister-in-law, Sandra Osborn; and son-in-law, Roger Knew.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton officiated by Pastor Jenny White. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12 until service time at the church Saturday.
