Larry F. Skaggs, 65, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Evansville. He was born January 21, 1958 in LaPorte, IN to Floyd and Barbara Skaggs.
Larry was retired from Far Best Foods in Huntingburg where he was a Safety Inspector and Utility Leader. He had lived in Princeton most of his life and graduated from Princeton Community High School. Larry was a member of the Enon General Baptist Church and had attended the Oasis Church. Larry loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and the Indiana University Basketball. He also enjoyed fishing and loved to sing for the residents at the area nursing homes.
Larry is survived by his wife, Ginger Skaggs of Princeton; daughter, Kim Skaggs of Alabama; step-daughter, Sarah Hunter (Jesse) of Owensville; step-son Joshua Buchanan (Emily) of Michigan; brother, Terry Skaggs (Marilyn) of Florida; granddaughter, Sherry Lloyd; step-grandchildren, Samantha Buchanan, Hollie Buchanan, Candice Beyer, and Quinton Lefler.
Larry was preceded in death by his biological parents; the parents who raised him, Ruth and Samuel Lee; and a previous wife, Sandy Skaggs.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Dave Depoister. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton. The visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
