Laura Eads, 62, of Princeton passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born August 17, 1958 in Princeton to Lawrence “Larry” and Ina Clare (Hart) Clemens. She married Michael Eads in 1980 and they were blessed with 40 years together. She owned and operated Unity Personal Care for 15 years and was a member of Hillside United Methodist Church. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Laura was an artistic person and liked painting and restoring furniture. She collected antiques and liked shopping. She also enjoyed going to the lake. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandkids. She was loved greatly and will be missed.
Laura is survived by her mother, Ina Trabant (Ellis) of Vincennes; children, Cory Eads (Amy) of Evansville and Leah Bailey (Neal) of Patoka; grandchildren, Kimberly Eads, Kendrick and Jameson Wiekert, Morgan Bailey, Daveon Smith, and Jasmine Kellems; siblings, Lisa Hughes (Dan) of Lake Placid, FL and Robert Clemens (Natalie) of New Baden, IL; brother-in-law, Kenneth Eads (Joscelyn) of Ellicott City, MA; 3 nephews; and a niece.
She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton with Reverend Craig Duke officiating. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Monday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Due to COVID-19 regulations, seating will be limited to allow for social distancing and masks will be required. The funeral will be live streamed around the service hour at www.facebook.com/colvinfuneralhomes.
