Lettie Jane Blaize, 93, of Princeton formerly of Hazleton, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton. She was born March 31, 1930 in Rector, Arkansas to Charles W. and Blanche E. (Manning) Redfairn.
Lettie was a homemaker. She and her husband, before his death, had lived in Princeton since 1997, previously living in Hazleton. She was a member of the Hazleton Community Church and had attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Princeton. Lettie enjoyed babysitting for family, especially her grandchildren, singing, watching television, enjoyed listening to the Gaithers singing, making craft items and flower arrangements.
Lettie is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Blaize of Princeton; son, Timothy Ray Blaize (Gina Hinkle) of Tell City; former daughter-in-law, Joan Williams; 2 grandchildren, Lisa Thompson (Andrew) of Francisco and Keith Blaize (Mindy) of Patoka; 3 great grandchildren, Gabrielle Thompson, Madison Thompson, and Cullen Blaize; great-great granddaughter, Darcy Thompson; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Lettie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years, Clifford Earl Blaize who passed away in 2018; four sisters; and three brothers.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2013 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Gary Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery near Hazleton. Visitation will be Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 12 pm until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
