Lillie Marie Schatz

Lillie Marie Schatz, 94, of Princeton, IN passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. She was born April 8, 1931 in Hazleton, IN to the late Ranvil and Elsie Young. Lillie enjoyed spending time in the outdoors fishing, tending the garden, and working in the yard. She liked going out having fun and spending time at the Lion’s club. Lillie will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph W. Schatz; children, David Schatz and Gary Schatz; siblings, Loretta Schatz and Serena (Jack) Dillon; and brothers-in-law, John Guard and James Schatz.

Lillie is survived by her sisters, Lois Guard and Norma Jean Schatz; grandson, Joseph E. (Tonia) Schatz; great-grandchildren, Chloe (Dillon) Barks, Delanie Schatz, and Samantha Schatz; great-great grandchildren, Barrett O’Conner, Everett Barks, Reiland Barks, and Chance Schatz; nieces, Lana (Theresa Weist) Otten and Judy (Mike) Beuligmann; nephew, Alan Dillon; and significant other of 29 years, Roger Osborn.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2025 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, IN with Bart Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh cemetery in Hazleton. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
