Lonnie Dale Holmes

Lonnie Dale Holmes, 57, of Princeton, Indiana passed away August 30, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born in Brook, IN on February 5, 1966 to Bob Holmes and Georgia Oaks. Lonnie married the love of his life, Melissa Holmes, April 21, 2002. He worked at Toyota Manufacturing for the last 25 years. Lonnie enjoyed going to the classic car shows where he could admire the older cars. He was known to be a ‘do it all’ handyman. Lonnie even had his own tattoo shop. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his grandmother, Barb Carlson.

He is survived by his parents; Bob (Liz) Holmes and Georgia (Red) Oaks; wife, Melissa Holmes; grandfather, Ross Carlson; siblings, Doug Holmes and Kelli (Mike) Stein; children, Lonna (Kevin) Andrews, Lance Holmes, Zacary Holmes, Ricky Brinker, Jessica Brinker, and Lesley Ezell; grandchildren, Harlen James Pollock, Jacinda Boyington, JaKayiah Andrews, JaKayla Andrews, and Finley Ezell; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Donnie Truelock. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. Friday, until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Colvin Funeral Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
