Lou Ella Gaston

Lou Ella Gaston, 98, of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at the Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born November 14, 1924 in Gibson County to the late Warner and Sarah (Jenkins) Campbell. She married Robert Gaston on April 27, 1947 and he passed away July 9, 1992.

Lou Ella is survived by her children, Marilyn Gaston of Princeton and John Gaston (Teresa) of Evansville; grandchildren, Julie Butts, Jennifer (Daniel) Duncan and James (Jamee) Gaston; great grandchildren, Willow Butts, Jimmy, Maci, Vincent and Orley Gaston, and Ava Fromm; and one special great-great granddaughter, Gracelynn Butts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters, Frances Armstrong, Edra Ringham, Laura Campbell, Beulah White and Ivalo Tooley.

The funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Donnie Truelock officiating. Interment will follow at the Union Community Cemetery in Union, IN. Visitation will be from until 11 am until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wheeling United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at Colvin’s.
