Louis "Frank" Crecelius Obituary

Louis “Frank” Crecelius, 86, of Princeton, passed away February 26, 2020 at his home. He was born in Pike County to the late Frank M. Crecelius and Martha (Miller) Hurley on September 27, 1933 and graduated high school in Mt. Olympus. He served in the United States Army from 1955 until 1957 and worked as a coal miner for 23 years. Frank was a Mason for 50 years, a past member of the Evansville Hadi Shrine, and enjoyed fishing and being on the golf course. He was loved and will be missed by all that knew him.

Frank is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Crecelius; children, Zoe (Randy) Conner, Greg (Tami) Crecelius, Jeff (Amy) Crecelius, and Teilla Sandgreen; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Crecelius family is hosting a gathering of family and friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at Hillside United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 1, 2020 located at 828 W Archer Rd, Princeton, IN 47670. Per his request, Frank will be cremated and no other services will be held.  

For those who wish, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to The Princeton Boys Club located at 129 South Hart Street, Princeton, IN 47670 or to the Gibson County Sheriff D.A.R.E. program at 112 E. Emerson St., Princeton, IN 47670; or to the donor’s choice in Frank’s memory.
