Margaret Greentree Garrett, 83, of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 at Sainte Genevieve Care Center in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
She was born September 15, 1941 in Princeton, Indiana, to the late Thelma Greentree and James Greentree.
Margaret is survived by three daughters, Mary Robb, Georgetta Percell, and Loretta Todd; daughter-in-law, Tina Greentree; grandchildren: Crystal (Lukas) Deimund, James (Leah) Greentree, Kayla Greentree, Stephanie Greentree, and Adam Warner; and great-grandchildren, Colby, Harper, Kailani, Sierra, Chevy, Cody, and Chris.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Greentree; and siblings, Shirley Greentree and Kenneth Greentree.
Margaret was an independent and strong-willed woman, just the way everyone knew her. She looked forward to Christmas parties, her trinkets, and jewelry. Margaret worked at a fancy hotel in Texas, lived in South Carolina for a while, and loved her "stories". She will be missed by so many.
A graveside service will be held 2 PM Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, Indiana with Pastor Jonathan Ryser officiating.
