Margie Loehr Obituary

Margie A. Loehr, 92, of Oakland City, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at home. She was born September 25, 1929 in Buckskin to George C. and Edith (Buck) Wagner. She moved from Mackey to the Oakland City area in 1979. She was a teacher for the East Gibson School Corporation for several years. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

Margie is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Taylor of McCutchanville, Cynthia Lee of Oakland City, and Angela Scalzo of Montgomery, Texas; grandchildren, Scott Lee, Valerie Poe-Christie, Melanie Wright, Holly Heichelbech and Mindy Grupe; 12 great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Jack Koerner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marlin Loehr; sisters, Maxine Minor and Phyllis Koerner; brothers, Paul Wagner, Arvel Wagner, and Denver Wagner; and grandson, Ryan Scalzo.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City with Pastor Greg Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Lynnville Cemetery in Lynnville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
