Marjorie Reynolds Obituary

Marjorie Ann (Lasater) Reynolds, 89, of Princeton, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at North River Health Campus in Evansville. Marjorie was born on August 18, 1935, in Princeton to the late Harry Lasater and Mary Jane (French) Lasater. In 1957, she married the love of her life, James Dudley “JD” Reynolds. Their marriage spanned 67 years before JD’s passing in October 2024.

Marjorie graduated from Princeton High School. She had a long tenure with Byers Accounting as a tax preparer. She was actively involved in Gibson County 4-H for many years as a club leader and member of the extension homemakers sharing her talents as a seamstress, gardener, and cook. Marjorie’s delicious cakes and beautiful flower gardens were well known!

She regularly attended First Baptist Church with JD. Her strong faith in God was evident, and she was actively involved in Mission Circle and other areas of service to the church. Marjorie’s quick wit, her compassionate heart, and her generous, sweet spirit made her beloved by her friends and family; those near and far. She took great pride in her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family greatly; and she continues to be greatly loved by them.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Cathy (David) Grollimund, Becky (Brett) Buck, and Jim (Deanna) Reynolds; grandchildren, Laura (Andy) Bowell, Hali Buck, Daniel (Molly) Grollimund, Abby (Brett) Shipley, Stephen (Lauren) Grollimund, Alyssa Reynolds, and Logan (Shelley) Buck; great-grandchildren, Liam, Ardan, Lucy, Sawyer, Addison, Jovie, Maeryn, Knox, Marta, Stevie, Maddie, Eddie Jo, Conway and one more due to arrive in July; sisters-in-law, Lil (Jerry) Reynolds and Karen (Larry) Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, JD; her brother Roy Lasater, sisters Ruby McCutchan, Irene Cannon, and Opal Shouse.

Visiting hours will take place from 4 until 7:00 PM Monday, February 24th at First Baptist Church in Princeton.  The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at First Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Jim Saunders.
