Mark Edward Doerner, 53, of Oakland City, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in Oakland City. He was born on October 25, 1966 in Princeton, IN to Ronald and Darlene (Holder) Doerner. He had lived in Oakland City for two years moving from Boonville. He was a graduate of Wood Memorial High School Class of 1984. He worked in maintenance at Lincoln Industrial in Boonville. He enjoyed music, played the piano and guitar and was a member of a band with his brothers and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Darlene of Oakland City; former wife of 21 years, Pam Doerner of Boonville; stepson, Heath Hemmings (Nikki) of Boonville; brothers, Brett Doerner (Debbie) of Spurgeon and Mike Doerner of Coe; brother-in-law, Ron Green of Petersburg; two step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald and sister, Sherry Green.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with Rev. David Brandon officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
