Marshall “Mike” Thomas, 77, of Princeton, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at River Bend Nursing & Rehabilitation in Evansville. He was born on August 8, 1944 in Gibson County to Eldon and Goldie (McFadden) Thomas. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He last worked painting oil field tanks but had also worked as a mechanic, cook and truck driver. He enjoyed painting and was a member of the Elks, Eagles and American Legion.
Mike is survived by his sons, Mike Martin of Princeton, Steve Thomas of Washington and Joseph Thomas of Princeton; daughter, Mindy Burnfin of Princeton; brothers, Danny, Roy and Dennis McFadden; and sisters, Paula Sue Mason, Donna Moore and Roxanne Dunkerson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Marshall James Thomas.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton officiated by Rev. Dennis McFadden. Military rites will be provided by the Retired Military Veterans. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
