Martin Burchell

Martin “Mutt” Burchell, 69, of Haubstadt, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. He was born on December 26, 1954 in Eden, NC to the late Julian and Christine Burchell. He was a retired grain elevator operator, and enjoyed watching television, especially westerns and football.

Martin is survived by his wife, Vickie Burchell of Haubstadt; 4 children, Matthew Burchell of Baltimore, MD, Andrew (Tanya) Burchell of Elberfeld; Kayla (DeMarcus) Hollifield of Kendallville, and Heather (Tyler) Williams of Newburgh; siblings, Bob Smith of Texas, Marie (Bill) Davis of Florida, Larry (Sue) Burchell of Tennessee, Julia (Rick) Dimmett of Boonville, Dale Burchell of Boonville, Yancy (Stacey) Burchell of Princeton and Annette (Gene) Morabito of Virginia; 9 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Lucille Hollifield of Stroh, IN; sisters-in-law, Karen Bentley of Kentucky, Mary Shepard of Stroh, IN and Tonya Miller of Michigan.

The family will host a memorial service at Lafayette Park, shelter house #4 in Princeton, at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
