Mary "Kat" K. (Helm) Cross

Mary “Kat” K. Cross, 70, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, May, 29, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She was born April 27, 1952 in Kentucky to the late William Helm and Mary Lou (Cape) Helm and married Lester L. Cross on August 31, 1985. She was homemaker and enjoyed home décor in her younger years. She was an avid collector of Nascar, Jeff Gordon memorabilia, Precious Moments items, and snow globes. She loved her family and would put everyone else before herself. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She will be missed.

Along with her husband, Kat is survived by her daughters, Hope Vandiver (Dennis) of Bridgeport, Illinois, Christy Walker of Princeton, and Danielle White of Princeton; grandchildren, Zachary Payne of Princeton, Bailey Payne of Princeton, Grace Vandiver of Bridgeport, Havyn White of Fort Branch, Hanna White of Fort Branch, Jayden Walker of Princeton, Abby Apodaca of Princeton, Miranda Vandiver of Oakland City, and Shantel Brown of Princeton; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Conrad, Harper Brown, and Atlas Brown; siblings, Joan Biddle of Monticello, Judy Abbott of Wabash, Debbie Hall of Wabash, Jamie Sharp of Princeton, and Robert Helm of Princeton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Ernie Helm, Regina Todd, Bessie Meece, Lillie Lamar, and Barbara Knight.

A private family graveside will be held at Columbia White Church Cemetery with a celebration of Kat's life to be held at 1 pm on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the Fish & Wildlife Conservation Clubhouse located at 1283 East Conservation Drive, Princeton, IN 47670.
