Mary L. Torline, 83 of Oakland City passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born January 24,1937 in Evansville, to Robert P. and Anna F. (Seiler) Allen.
She had lived in Oakland City for many years. She worked in the bakery department of the former Red and White Grocery and the I.G.A. store in Oakland City. She was a member of the New Life Tabernacle near Oakland City.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Dawn Davis of Evansville; 3 grandchildren, Michelle Beloat, Robin Golbach and Brandon Dowdell; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred Allen and Jerry Allen; sister, Ruth Boughton.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norbert Torline; son, Robert Davis; daughter, Jeanette Davis; granddaughter, April Davis; siblings, Robert “Bobby" Allen, Laverne Casey Payton, Avalon Melton, Doris Allen and Phyllis Allen.
Funeral service will be held at the graveside, 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City. Burial will follow the service. There will be no visitation. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the service. The Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City has been entrusted with the arrangements.
