Maxine Akers Obituary

Maxine Lee Akers, 90, of Princeton, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City. Maxine was born on June 26, 1930 in Vincennes to the late Oscar Leland Beckes and Ruth (Cox) Beckes and retired from Hansen’s Mfg. Co. in Princeton.

She is survived by two daughters, Rita Marlene Byers (Bruce) and Charlene Critchfield (Dennis); 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a brother, Joe Beckes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Poppy Hawkins.

At this time, there will be no visitation or service. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is entrusted with arrangements.
