Michael S. Eads, 61 of Princeton passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. He was born January 27, 1959 in Princeton to Jimmie and Shirley (Rudisel) Eads, who preceded him in death.
Mike retired from Duke Energy where he was a control room operator. He and his wife, Laura were owner of Unity Personal Care in Princeton. He had lived in Princeton all of his life. He graduated from P.C.H.S. in 1977 and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Oakland City University. He was a member of the Hillside United Methodist Church, member of Prince Masonic Lodge #231 and a CASA Volunteer for several years. He was a former volunteer fireman, he enjoyed bicycling, photography, boating and spending time on Barkley Lake and couldn’t resist a chance to spend time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Laura (Clemens) Eads; son, Cory Eads (Amy) of Evansville; daughter, Leah Bailey (Neal) of Patoka; brother, Kenneth Eads (Joscelyn) of Ellicott City, MD; grandchildren, Kimberly Eads, Kendrick and Jameson Wickert, Morgan Bailey, Daveon Smith and Jasmine Kellems; aunt, Phyllis Pohl of Evansville; 1 niece and 1 nephew; several cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton with Rev. Craig Duke officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and again on Friday 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. Due to state mandated COVID-19 regulations, seating will be limited to allow for social distancing and masks will be required. The funeral service will be live streamed on the Colvin Funeral Homes Facebook page, www.facebook.com/ColvinFuneralHomes.
