Mike Rembe, 71, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Good Samaritan Home and Rehabilitation Center in Oakland City. He was born on November 5, 1952 in Princeton to the late Rex and Hazel Rembe and had lived in the Princeton area his entire lifetime. Mike was retired from the Sanitation Department of the City of Princeton. He was a member of the Salvation Army Church in Princeton and he enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and spending time with his dog, Stewie.
Mike is survived by his brother, Larry Rembe (Lorri) of Princeton; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Davis, Cortney Reavis and Phillip Velasquez; and 5 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Rembe; and a daughter, Lori Birge.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Grace Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mike, may be made to the Salvation Army, 208 South Gibson Street, Princeton, IN 47670. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
Mike’s family would like to express their heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff at Good Samaritan Home and Rehabilitation Center for the care and compassion shown to Mike and the family.
