Mildred M. Gehl 87, of Princeton passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Transcendent Healthcare in Owensville. She was born December 8, 1933 in Princeton to Ernie and Jessie P. (Dyer) Davis
Mildred was a homemaker. She had lived in Princeton all of her life. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, raising flowers, and working in the yard especially mowing the yard.
She is survived by her 4 daughters, Vicki Fears of Princeton, Cheri Barrix (Steve) of Princeton, Angela Rapp of Evansville, and Tiffany Gehl of Princeton; 2 grandchildren, Brian Barrix and Brandi Sturgeon; 6 great-grandchildren, Trenton, Hannah, Colton, Joanna, Jocelynne and Brianna; sister-in-law, Martha Gehl of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Gehl; son-in-law, Don Fears; 5 brothers, Adrian Hawkins, Russell, Ralph, Robert and Roy Davis; 2 sisters, Odean Barnes and Velma Smith.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton with Father William Traylor as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Following visitation there will be a procession to the church for the services. Due to COVID-19 state regulations the number of people in the funeral home or church for visitations and services is limited to 25 people. Social distancing and masks are required.
