Nels A. Johnson, 72, of Princeton, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at home. He was born August 8, 1949 in Princeton. He was a graduate of the Princeton High School Class of 1967. He was the former owner of Norton’s Diner in Princeton. He was a car salesman at the former Patriot Motors and finally a part time salesman at the former J. Wilderman Autoplex. He was a member of the Princeton Elks Lodge.
Nels is survived by his wife, Leann (McKimmy) Johnson of Princeton; daughters, Kathleen Johnson (Adam Bender) of Lexington, KY and Elizabeth Hensley (Rick) of Princeton; and grandson, Zackery Hensley (StellaRae Carlson) of Princeton.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia (Leimgruber) Johnson and brother, Jerry Eugene Leimgruber.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
