Nikie Sue (Overturf) Hirsch

Nikie Sue (Overturf) Hirsch, 54, of Cynthiana, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at her home. She was born April 15, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada and worked as a cook for The Café, Doc’s Place, and Shelly’s Pizza in Owensville. She was a great cook and loved flowers, fairies, gardening, and her cats. Nikie Sue enjoyed fishing, the beach, camping, hiking, rock hunting, and staying busy. She was her husband’s best friend and he made sure to spoil her. Nikie Sue loved her family and enjoyed giving them compliments, especially her son for his long hair. She will be remembered for always looking for the silver lining in every situation and being such a positive person all the way until she left this world. She was dearly loved and will be missed.

Nikie Sue is survived by her parents, Jim and Dee (Robertson) Birge; husband of 7 years, Curtis Hirsch of Cynthiana; children, Tasia Mitchell of Patoka and Dakota Kerner of Bicknell; step-children, Jennifer Hirsch of Jackson, Mississippi, Janie Hirsch of Evansville, Jessica Gonzalez of Evansville, Joseph Cook of Evansville, and Johnathon Cook of Evansville; grandchildren, Micheal, Kaleb, Lilly, Landyn, and Brendan; 5 step-grandchildren; siblings, Garie Belcher (Ike), Theresa Turpin (Dennis), Brian Birge, Richard Birge (Elayne), and Maxwell Birge; several nieces and nephews, and a lot of loving cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brendan Overturf-Hoffhaus.

The funeral will be held at 12:00 Noon (CST) Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Eddie Naas. The visiting hours will be from 10:00 AM until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
