Paula G. Ireland, 82, of Francisco, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City. She was born on May 30, 1938 in Princeton to Paul and Darsie (Flint) Hayden. She had lived in Francisco since 1975 moving from Oakland City. She had worked in the kitchen at Denny’s and as an auditor at Sunbeam Plastics. She attended Good Shepherd Church in Oakland City. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary and a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 25 and the Eagles Auxiliary of Oakland City. She enjoyed bowling.
Paula is survived by her children, Michael Lee (Kathy) of Oakland City, Julie Benton (Michael) of Francisco and Jonathan Ireland (Kimberly) of Vincennes; stepson, Joseph Ireland II (Martha) of Francisco; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Ireland on August 19, 2020; sons, Bradley Lee and Jay Patrick Ireland; and brother, Gene Hayden.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Dr. Douglas Low officiating. Burial will follow at Francisco Cemetery in Francisco. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 regulations, capacity inside the funeral home will be limited to 50 persons to allow for social distancing and masks will be required.
