Peggy A. Dillon, went to be with her Lord and her beloved husband on Thursday, January 18, 2024. She was born January 26, 1931 to Paul L. and Muriel M. (Goodwin) Garrett. She graduated from Owensville High School in 1949 and Bramwell Business College in 1950. She also attended USI and Lockyear Business College. She worked as a secretary for the City County Health Department in Evansville. She also worked as a secretary for Chrysler Corporation of Evansville until the company moved to St. Louis. She worked for Security Bank & Trust of Mt. Carmel, IL.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Kenny who passed in July of 2014; sisters, infant Mildred Jean, Helen Wilson and Edna Twigg; brothers, Denzel, Chester, Kenneth and Eugene.
Surviving is her step-daughter, Karen (Jim) Richardson; step-son, Wayne (Amy) Dillon; sister, Phyllis J. Moffett; step-granddaughter, Kimberly (Ryan) Robertson; and great grandchildren, Caleb, Connor, Cooper, and Cameron; and also, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at the graveside at 11 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Owensville Cemetery, with Pastor Bart Newton officiating. Interment will follow the service. There will be a private family visitation from 9:30 until 10:30 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with a procession to the cemetery.
