Randall Lee Richardson 89 of Princeton, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton. He was born September 2, 1934 in Mackey to Burch and Hazel (Britton) Richardson.
Randall was a retired truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He had lived in Princeton since December 2000, moving here from Chesterton, IN, the area in which he had lived for many years. After moving to Princeton, he married Wilma (Clark) Easley on December 30, 2000. Randall enjoyed gospel music and attending the Hillside United Methodist Church, where he was involved with the church activities, delivering meals and whatever needed to be done. He enjoyed collecting clocks, working and tinkering in his shop in the garage.
Randall is survived by his wife, Wilma Easley Richardson; daughters, Rhea Bruder (Jeff) of LaPorte, IN and Shelia Johnsen (Scott) of Valparaiso; stepchildren, Sharon Pridgen of Princeton and Mike Easley (Sandy) of Hopkinsville, KY; 4 grandchildren, Kristina Zawacki, Jessica Hayden, and John and Steve Fannin; 6 step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Pansy Richardson; brothers, Floyd and Lloyd “Gene” Richardson; sisters, Cleda Folsom and Mildred Stilwell.
A funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton, with Pastor Jenny White officiating. Visitation will be from 11 am until the service time at the Church on Monday. There will be a military service held at the church by the Retired Military Veterans.
He will be buried at the Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
Memorial contribution may be made to the Hillside United Methodist Church, 828 Archer Rd., Princeton, IN 47670. Envelopes will be available at the church. The Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements and is honored to serve Randall’s family.
