Richard Allen Wilson

Richard Allen Wilson, 74, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City. He was born August 10, 1948 in Princeton to the late Eli A. “Bud” Wilson and Hazel L. (Bolin) Wilson and married Barbara Jean Wilson in March of 1992. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2022. Richard honorably served in the United States Army from 1967 until 1969.

Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Donna (Wilson) McCloskey.

Richard is survived by his daughter Lori Melton (Brian) of Francisco; granddaughter, LeeAnn Melton; friend and caregiver, Heather Dawson (Brad) and their children, Cooper and Annabel; stepsons, Jim and David Veach; cousin, Sue Brenton; and uncle, Maurice Bolin.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Francisco Cemetery in Francisco with Military Rites provided by Retired Military Veterans.
