Robert Daltry, Jr. Obituary

Robert Walter Daltry, Jr., 50, of Oakland City, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. He was born October 28, 1970 in Ridley, Pennsylvania to the late, Robert Walter Daltry, Sr. and Dianna (Stephens) Daltry. He married Dawn (Crouse) Daltry on August 20, 1994 and they’ve been blessed with 26 years together. Robert worked in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning for about 30 years and retired in 2018. He was a member of the Lion’s Club in Oakland City and was known as the king of the grill because of his love for barbequing. He liked watching John Wick, action movies, and sports, and enjoyed fishing. He was the type of man that would give the shirt off his back to someone who needed it and had a great sense of humor, playing jokes whenever he could. Mostly, he will be remembered as a great husband, a loving father, and will be greatly missed.

Robert is survived by his wife, Dawn Daltry of Oakland City; children, Robert Walter Daltry III of Pennsylvania, Katlina Nichole Daltry of Oakland City, and Victoria Dianna Daltry of Oakland City; sisters, Heather Wilson of Oakland City and Erica Daltry of Fort Wayne; nieces and nephews, Austin Shover, Noah Timmerman, Dennis Crouse (Jackie), Justin Crouse, Joshua Crouse, Holly Oelrich (Tyler), and Christine Crouse; and brothers-in-law, Melvin Crouse and Richard Crouse.

He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Christopher Daltry; maternal grandparents, Morris and Dolores Stephens; and paternal grandparents, Lewis and Maria Daltry.
