Robert Sands

Robert Sands, 72, of Princeton, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at The Waters of Princeton. He was born March 10, 1952 in La Porte, Indiana to the late Helen (Blackburn) Sands and Mendell Sands   and worked as a contractor and a minister. He was a man of faith and will be missed beyond measure.

Robert is survived by his children, Benjamin Sands (Christina), Bob Sands (Janet), Ginger Sands, Teddy Sands, Jamie Sands; many, many grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Thomas Sands; and siblings.

The funeral service celebrating Robert’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Cynthia Betz and burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the service time on Tuesday.
