Robert William Vaught, Jr., "Bob" 83 of Princeton passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026 at his home surrounded by family. He was born December 21, 1942 in Evansville to the late Robert W. Vaught, Sr and Marie (Gocker) Vaught. Bob married his lovely wife, Priscilla (Moore) Vaught on June 17, 1961 and they were blessed with 65 years together. Bob was proud to have worked 40 years for Asbestos Workers Union Local 37 until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church serving as a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 1131. Bob loved traveling with Priscilla, making it to all 50 states together. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching horse races, especially the Kentucky Derby. Bob was inventive, good with numbers, and artistic. He loved to paint and play cards with friends and family. In his spare time, he worked puzzles. He was loved and will be missed beyond measure.

Bob is survived by his wife, Priscilla Vaught of Patoka; children, Brenda Wallace of Cadiz, Kentucky and Robert (Kelly)Vaught IV of Cadiz, Kentucky; grandchildren, Alescia (Ryan)Revell, Shari (Sean)Goodson, Robert “Robbie” (Elizabeth)Vaught V, Amber (Lance)Seaton, Brittany Vaught, Pete (Mya)Williamson, Cody Williamson, Tara Williamson (Evan McCoy), and Haley Vaught; and great-grandchildren, Davis Bradshaw, Devyn Jernigan, Regan Bradshaw, Carson Bradshaw, Rex Goodson, Dutch Goodson, Lilly Vaught, Lydia, Lyla, and Griffin Seaton, Liam Vaught, Wyatt and Leo Williamson, Sophia Lloyd, and Weston and Tennyson Williamson.

Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by 2 children, Robert William III and Holly Marie and 3 brothers, Henry Vaught, Marvin Hollingsworth, and Harold Hollingsworth.

A Rosary service will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 6, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by a funeral mass. Inurnment will follow at St. Joe Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.

For those who wish, memorial contributions can be given to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation located at 223 W. Jackson Blvd., Suite 350, Chicago, IL 60606 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital located at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Envelopes will be available at the church.
