Roberta A. Raney, 91 of Princeton, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the RiverOaks Health Campus in Princeton. She was born January 20, 1931 in Vincennes to Louis and Edith (Beamon) Oexmann.
She had lived in Princeton since 1969 moving from Mooresville. She had worked as an insurance clerk for Dr. Krishna for 18 years. She was a member of the Princeton Presbyterian Church, Psi Iota Xi Sorority and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star #176.
Roberta is survived by a daughter, Nancy Neese of Princeton; 3 grandchildren, Marianne McDaniel (Josh), Charles “Chuck” Neese (Mary) and Christopher Raney (Jamie); 2 step-grandchildren, Bobbi Chaney and Annette Wirth (Billy); 5 great grandchildren, Ethan and Jaylynn McDaniel, Lily Hall, Charles Oliver Raney and Jaxon Neese; 10 step-great grandchildren; 4 step-great great grandchildren; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Raney in 1994; son, Richard Raney in 1995; sister, Melba Rae Laskay; and son-in-law, Jerry Neese.
There will be a funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Vanlal Hruaia officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Princeton Presbyterian Church, 130 E. State, Princeton, IN 47670. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
