Ruth Elizabeth Dunning

Ruth Elizabeth Dunning, 90, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 in Mansfield, Ohio. She was born October 13, 1931 in Princeton to the late Roy A. and Mary Edith (Hillyard) Woods. She had lived in Princeton for most of her lifetime, after growing up in Francisco. She was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the Nile, and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She had worked as a hair stylist, manager of J.C. Penney catalog department, DeMoss Rexall Pharmacy as a pharmacy tech., and then at CVS Pharmacy. Ruth loved her family and having Thursday morning coffee with friends. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Carla Delianides (Jeff) of Mansfield, OH; 2 grandsons, Nicholas Delianides (Chelsea) of Columbus, OH and Matt Dunning of Terre Haute; a sister, Anne McDonald of Princeton; a brother, Joe Woods of Jasper; and also, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Dunning in 2004 and her son, Anthony “Tony” Dunning in 2020.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Ricky Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the hour of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
