Sandra Jean (Mitchell) Binkley

Sandra Jean (Mitchell) Binkley, 77, recently of Oakland City and formerly of Illinois, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. She was born February 23, 1944 in Greenup, Illinois and graduated Cumberland County High School in Cumberland, Illinois. Sandra worked as a quality control manager for Union Fröndenberg for 30 years. She married James Binkley in February of 1988 and they have spent 33 years together. She enjoyed giving him a hard time and loved her whole family dearly. She also was an avid card and bingo player. She will be missed beyond measure.

Sandra is survived by her husband, James Binkley of Oakland City; children, Melody Branch (Kenneth) of Greenfield, Indiana, Peggy Lucas (Dennis) of Martinsville, Illinois, Tammy Wright (Eric) of Bon Aqua, Tennessee, Amy Deig (Andy) of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, and Chris Binkley (Chanel) of Haubstadt, Indiana; grandchildren, Stephanie Smith (Matt), Stephen Branch, Bobby Fowler, Jr., Brittany Masey, Damian Lucas, Paige Wright, Seth Goebel, Baylee Deig, and Sydney Deig; great-grandchildren, Brenna, Braeden, James, J’Lynn, JR, Owen, Brayden, Trysta, Cobie, Kyzer, Kaitlyn, and Benjamin; and brothers, Clarence Remlinger, Jr. and Ronald Remlinger.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille (Mitchell) Remlinger; stepfather, Clarence Remlinger; and granddaughter, Heather Fowler.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Dietta Gaither. Interment will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the service hour, 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
