Sandra Kay Legg, 80, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at The Wyndmoor of Evansville. She was born in Blackpool, England on March 13, 1942 to the late Harry and Robena (Winkle) Hornby. Sandra loved spending time with her family. She also loved gardening, and was an avid swimmer for many years. Anyone who knew her, knew she loved walking and taking care of her little dog, Brody. She loved to paint, create crafts, crochet, and read. She also enjoyed sending greeting cards to all of her family. She helped deliver meals through Broadway Christian Church. She worked about 10 years at Hansen’s Mfg. and was a private sitter in healthcare for many years. Sandra was a former member of Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton. She was loved and will be missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri Guisewite (Mike) of Evansville; son-in-law, David Reneer of Princeton; sister, Bobbie Bridgeland (Bob) of Princeton; grandchildren, Reilly Welborn of Evansville, Tucker Guisewite of Evansville, Tiffany Cooper of Floyds Knob, IN, Amber Schwarzlose of Ft. Branch, Corey Seifert, of Ft. Branch, and Chase Reneer of Evansville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father of her children, Bobby Gene Legg; daughter, Karin Reneer; and sister, Jeanette “Jan” Noble.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 11th, at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating and interment to follow.
