Sara Sue "Susie" Wise

Sara Sue “Susie” Wise, 82, of Princeton, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City. She was born on July 6, 1941 in Francisco to the late Harold and Alene Beasley. She married Jerry Wise on December 31, 1958 at the Methodist Church in Francisco and they were blessed with 60 years together, until his passing on January 5, 2019.

Sue retired in 1996 from Hurst Mfg. Co. in Princeton and had previously worked at the Francisco School. She liked to crochet, loved her cats, enjoyed mushroom hunting and traveling, especially going on the WRAY trips, was an avid Elvis fan, but most of all being involved in her grandkids lives while they were growing up.

She is survived by her children, Michael Dennis Wise (Barbara) of Vincennes and Terri Lynn Hollingsworth (Chuck) of Princeton; grandchildren, Kara, Christopher and Kirk Wise, Stephen and Wesley Hollingsworth and Eddie Graves; great grandchildren, Nick, Alex and Scotty Kelly, Johnathan and Danielle Popplewell, Richard, Zoey, Charlotte and Evie Wise, Samuel Hollingsworth and one more due to arrive in November.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm CDT on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Brad Keenan officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery east of Princeton. A visitation will be held from 4 until 8 pm CDT on Monday, May 13th at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Gibson County Animal Services, P.O. Box 474, Princeton, IN 47670 or to Gibson County Special Olympics, P.O. Box 223, Patoka, IN 47666. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
