Shane Lewis Obituary

Shane A. Lewis, 62, of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. He was born on February 17, 1961 in Oakland City to the late Ed and Martha Lou Lewis and had resided in Princeton all of his lifetime. Shane was a graduate of Princeton Community High School and was an electrician with the I.B.E.W. He was a member of Prince Masonic Lodge No.231 F&AM in Princeton and Scottish Rite Valley of Evansville. He loved animals and liked to fish, mushroom hunting, camping, 4-wheel riding and being with his friends, and also listening to classic rock music, especially riding around with his daughter, Brittany who was the joy of his life. He was also an avid I.U. fan and Indianapolis Colts fan.

Shane is survived by his loving wife, and they have been together for 47 years and married for 40 years, Teresa (Johnson) Lewis of Princeton; his daughter, Brittany Dorris (Allen) of Princeton; his brother, Gregg Lewis (Sue) of Princeton; his twin-sister, Shon Perry (Bill) of Princeton and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Paula Sue Thurston.

The service will begin at 2 pm Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Masonic rites, followed by the funeral service with Donnie Truelock officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the service time at the funeral home.

For those who prefer, memorial contributions may be made to Gibson County Animal Services, P. O. Box 474, Princeton, IN 47670. Envelopes will also be available at Colvin’s.
