Sharon Sue Cross (Lashbrook), 72, of Princeton, IN passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, peacefully at the Deaconess Gibson Hospital in Princeton. She was born in Mt. Carmel, IL, on June 21, 1952 to John Bailey Lashbrook and Ruth Imogene (Veach) Lashbrook.
Sharon was employed at Mid-States Rubber for 25 years and was in the tooling department. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, and painting by numbers. Sharon was a strong, loving, selfless, wonderful woman. She loved the ones close to her and even the ones far away. Sharon was a hardworking, caring single mother who fought to provide and protect her child through the good and bad. She was a friend to many and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her life-long partner, Jose D. Medina “Chico”; son, Dustin Cross (Chrissy) of Henderson, KY; grandchildren, Kierstyn Miller (Cross) of Newburgh, IN, Maddilynn Pyott of Newburgh, IN, Luna Howson of England, and Gracelynn and Faith Powers; brothers, Joe Lashbrook of Princeton, IN and John Lashbrook of Mt. Carmel, IL; sister, Cathy Collz of Mt. Carmel, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, John and Imogene Lashbrook; sister, Patty Pricett; and brother, Billy Lashbrook.
A graveside service will be held, Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11 am at Clark Cemetery near Owensville, IN. The Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
