Sharon S. Koenig

Sharon S. Koenig, 85, of Princeton, IN passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at her home in the arms of her husband. She was born January 9, 1941 in rural Owensville to Charles Robinson and Iva (Crabtree) Robinson. Sharon was in the 1959 graduating class of Owensville High School. She worked as a Deli Manager for several years when she was younger, then took a part-time position as a USDA food inspector. Sharon married Danny Koenig, May 24, 1986, and enjoyed being a homemaker. They shared many fond memories together throughout the years. Danny taught her to become a skilled fisher, especially catching bluegill and crappie. They had many adventures cross country camping for a month, camping trips in Olney, IL, and long-distance bicycle rides. Sharon enjoyed working with her hands making beautiful quilts, working needle point, crocheting, and embroidering. She loved providing for her family by cooking and baking delicious food and treats, especially known for her apple pie. Sharon was passionate about food preservation and worked hard growing and canning her yield. She liked taking time to read a good book and go on her 13 ½ mile walk daily. Sharon was a member of Maumee General Baptist Church in Johnson. She proudly went to church every Sunday and loved her church family.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Jimmy Robinson, Charles Robinson, Tommy Robinson, Kenny Robinson, Steve Robinson, and Jacqueline Woods; and father to her daughters, John Robert Clark.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Danny Koenig; children, Theresa Clark, Patricia Binhack, Christne (Troy) Baize, Bradley (Kathy) Koenig, Janice Burns, and Pamela (Doug) Richter; grandchildren, Alecia (Hussain) Alqahtani, Michael Binhack, John (Jackie) Baize, Hillary (Luke) Deskin, Jesse (Ashley) Baize, Wayne (Sarah) Koenig, Evan Koenig, Staci Burns, Leah Burns Herring, Emma (Michael) Rageth, Abby Maurer, Ethan Maurer, and Olivia Maurer; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Kyler, Kerianna, Makayla, Lily, Rose, and Hattie June; siblings, Dorthy (Carl) Weber and Janet Robbins.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 12PM at Maumee General Baptist Church in Owensville with Pastor Rowland officiating. Visitation will be 10AM until service time at the church. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery, Maumee General Baptist Church, American Heart Association, or Bright Focus Foundation-for Macular Degeneration Research.   Envelopes will be available at the church.
