Sharon Sue Neufelder, 86, of Princeton, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. She was born June 17, 1934 in Princeton to the late Albert and Alma (Fortner) Singleton. Sharon was a homemaker and had worked for 15 years at the Gibson County Council on Aging. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton.
Sharon is survived by her 3 children and their spouses, Rick and Debbie Neufelder, Mindy and Patrick Vieck and Amy and Tom Olds; grandchildren, Andrea Lewis (Jason Smitha), Rachel Burek (Doug), Joshua Neufelder (Nicky), Jessica Feistel (Stephen), and Cole and Sidney Vieck; great grandchildren, Keegan, Aiden, Brayden, Caleb, Oliver, Isaac, Cora, Landon and Ashton; a brother, Joe Singleton (Betty Jo); and also, a special friend, Gil Memmer and his family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Gerald R. Neufelder on October 26, 2007; a grandson, Brad Lewis on March 12, 2010, and a sister, Beverly Ann Beckes on December 16, 2018.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 pm Thursday, January 28, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 401 S. Race St., Princeton, Indiana, with Father Gary Kaiser as celebrant. The rosary will be prayed at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A walk-through visitation will be held from 10 am until 12:30 pm Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Due to state mandated COVID-19 regulations, the number of people allowed inside the funeral home will be limited to allow for social distancing and masks are required.
