Sheridan "Sonny" Warner Obituary

Sheridan “Sonny” Doyle Warner, 82, of Haubstadt went to be with the Lord Monday, December 23, 2024. He was born March 10, 1942 in Madisonville, KY to the late Tom Henry Warner and Flavil Stephanie (Killian) Warner. Sonny graduated from Franciso High School in 1960 and shortly after joined the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. Sonny married the love of his life, Margie Jo Warner and was blessed with 46 years of marriage before her passing in 2021. He retired from Whirlpool after 39 years of service. Sonny attended St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt and was a member of the Haubstadt American Legion Post 194. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, sometimes 3 times a week, working, reminiscing with telling stories of the “good ol’ days”, and most importantly laughing and spending time with his family.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie Jo Warner; sister, Paula (David) Clark; and brother-in-law, Gary Mowrer.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy (Jeff) Clevy; grandsons, Thomas and Parker Clevy; sister, Delphine “Del” Mowrer; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of a Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt with Father Betz officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Catholic Church Cemetery with military rites by the Retired Military Veterans. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, IN.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church or Haubstadt American Legion Post 194. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
