Shirley Ann Gayer, 88, of Princeton passed away Friday, November 14, at her home. She was born August 22, 1937 in Owensville to Bill and Lois Padgett. Shirley was a homemaker most of her life, however she did work as a cook for Poods and Aunt Helens restaurants here in Princeton. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and going to the movies.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Tracy Vaughn Gayer (Savanna Whitehead) of Princeton, Bob Selby (Beth) of Princeton, Cody Selby (Debbie) of Ft. Branch, and David Padgett of Henderson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Gayer; daughter, Marlana Gayer; son, Mark Padgett; twin sister, Wanda Selby and sister, Norma Stewart.
There will be no visitation or services at the time. The Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements and is honored to serve Shirley's family.
