Stacy Branham 86, of Wheeling area passed Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. He was born March 10, 1938 in Robinson Creek, KY. to Hoody and Ella Branham.
Stacy had retired as a Supervisor from Chrysler Assembly Plant in Newark, Delaware and then moved to the Wheeling area about 30 years ago. After moving to Gibson County, he went to work for the Auto Zone store here when it first opened and worked there for several years. He was known as, “The Old Man who knew everything” there in the store. He and his wife Nancy, helped to organize the Gibson County Master Gardeners Club and have been involved for several years. Stacy enjoyed raising flowers and always put out a big garden.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy Branham; 2 daughters; Laura Nash and JoAnne Cleaver (Matthew) both of Newark; and 4 grandchildren.
Stacy was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held at the graveside in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Oatsville, 1:30 pm CST Thursday, May 23, 2024 with Pastor Michael Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow the services. Visitation will be from 11-1 pm CST Thursday at the Colvin Funeral Home, Princeton.
