Tanya McCullough Obituary

Tanya Renee McCullough, 62, of Oakland City, passed away with her loving family and friends by her side on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at her home in Oakland City. She was born October 26, 1957 in Princeton, graduated from Oakland City University with an Associate's Degree, and worked in the coal mining industry as a Human Resource Manager for 30 years. She worked as the CEO of Patriot Gaming, a company her and her husband formed in 2014, and she had recently retired after 11 years as property manager for Park Terrace Apartments. Tanya loved flowers and gardening, liked traveling, and supporting her nieces and nephews in all their sports activities. She enjoyed Nascar races and going to Florida, Hawaii, and Edisto Island with her husband of 28 years. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.  

Tanya is survived by her husband, John McCullough; mother, Sharon Hill; father, Tom (Janice) Maikranz; siblings, Cheryl (Chris) Barrett, Brian Maikranz (Heidi Hill), Krista Maikranz, and Tricia Lewis (Tege); sister-in-law, Debra McCullough; nieces and nephews, Jason (Sarah) Barrett, Josh (Jennifer) Houchin, Zach (Kim) Barrett, Christopher (Chelsea) Barrett, Bryson (Rachel) Maikranz, Braydon Maikranz, Brenna Maikranz, Lexi Graupner, and Peyton Graupner; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews with 1 due in October; and special friends Amy and Roger Heldt.  

She was preceded in death by her step-son, Jason McCullough, step-father, Dennis Hill, step-mother, Lucy Maikranz, and sister-in-law, Lisa Maikranz.  

A private family memorial service will be held and officiated by Reverend Matt Malin. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM (CDT) until 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City.  

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be given to the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center located at 3701 Bellemeade Ave. Evansville, IN 47714. The McCullough family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Anthony Stephens, the Oncology Department at OHA, the St. Vincent nursing staff, and Heritage Hospice.
